Install using GUI Mode

To install GreenVulcano® ESB in GUI mode:

  1. Open the physical media or download the GreenVulcano® ESB package.
  2. Extract the GreenVulcano® ESB archive file to a temporary directory.
  3. Navigate to the temporary directory.
  4. Run GreenVulcanoUniversalInstaller. The Welcome screen displays.
  5. Click Next. The License Agreement screen appears. After reading through the license text, click "I accept the terms of the license agreement" and then click Next.
  6. The Installation Type screen displays. Choose "Complete Installation" or "Custom Installation" then click Next.
  7. The Installation Target Path selection screen displays. Choose your target installation path (INSTALL_PATH) then click Next.
  8. If you choose "Custom Installation" as Installation Type the Select Installation Packages screen displays. You can choose to deselect "JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA" package if you already have your own installation and you want to use it to deploy GreenVulcano® ESB. Click Next.
  9. The jBoss Configuration screen display. You should now specify the following parameters for your JBoss instance:
    1. JBoss Installation Path: where JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA must be installed or where it is installed in case you choose "Custom Installation"
      and deselect "JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA" package.
    2. Server Name: The name of the server that will be deployed under server/ directory; default is "GreenV". If you are installing another server in the INSTALL_PATH where there are other servers be sure that its name will differs from the others.
    3. Server Address: The server address on which the "Server Name" will listen on.; default "0.0.0.0" means all available addresses.
    4. JBoss Port Configuration: The portset that will be used by the server; "ports-default" means the standard ports, for instance HTTP port is 8080. You can choose different portset to be sure that those ports are available on your system:
      1. ports-default: The standard ports, for instance HTTP port is 8080.
      2. ports-01: The standard ports incremented by 100. For example, HTTP is on 8180.
      3. ports-02: The standard ports incremented by 200. For example, HTTP is on 8280.
      4. ports-03: The standard ports incremented by 300. For example, HTTP is on 8380.
    5. Username: The username for GV Console administration; default is "admin".
    6. Password: The username password; please note that passwords must contains at least (1) upper case letter, (1) lower case letter, (1) number or special character and must be at least (8) characters in length.
  10. Click Next. If you choose "Custom Installation" as Installation Type the Summary Installation screen display. Click Next.
  11. If you choose "Custom Installation" as Installation Type the Process Panell screen display. The installer check for your JBoss 5.1.0 GA version for compatibility reason. If it is compatible a confirmation message will display. Click Next.
  12. The installation process will now start copying files on your system. Click Next when finish.
  13. The Post Processing screen display. The installer configures the startup scripts and GV Console properties files with parameters defined at point 9. Click Next.
  14. The Post Installation Summary screen display. The installation is successfully completed. Some useful information are displayed like:
    1. Post Installation Requirement; only *nix platforms
    2. Starting GreenVulcano® ESB
    3. Uninstall GreenVulcano® ESB
    4. Support
  15. Click Next. Installation finished. Click Done to complete installation.
